Technology

We have invested heavily in the very best technology to be able to offer our clients superior products and services.

Laser Templator – Used on-site to accurately measure walls, cabinets and cut-outs in your benchtop within millimetres, the Laser Templator takes the guesswork out of measuring for your benchtops and ensures that the tops we make have a precision fit.

Saws – We use CNC Bridge Saw technology to cut our Laminate and stone products, and deliver an accurate result safely and efficiently.

Health and Safety

We believe that the safety of our Staff and Customers comes first. We pride ourselves on setting the standard in the region for dust-free, Silicosis-safe manufacturing.

We are always improving our health and safety systems in response to new information that comes to light, we have built upon our current practices to ensure even greater protection for our stonemason team against exposure to silica dust.

This has included increased ways in which water is used during the production of low-silica stone products, almost eliminating the dust that is created in the manufacturing process, and registering our factory environments significantly under acceptable Worksafe NZ dust exposure standards. This has been validated with extensive independent air-testing.
Through open and honest conversations amongst our suppliers, our competitors, Worksafe NZ and our AGB Group team, we have been able to further develop our H&S culture of best practice, which means our staff can feel safe working with us.

As part of the AGB Group, we have a strong desire to encourage and help develop a Code of Practice for our whole industry, with regulations that explicitly prohibit uncontrolled dry cutting of low-silica stone. We welcome these initiatives.

We do feel for those who have suffered needlessly through this terrible and preventable ailment, and urge you all to be always mindful when choosing your Stone Fabricator that they too are putting the safety of their staff at the forefront.

Stone Benchtops do not have to come with the fear of Silicosis.

  1. Low-silica Stone in your home is completely safe.
  2. As part of the AGB Group of Companies, we are leading the industry in dust-free fabrication, to keep our staff safe in the process of manufacturing your Low-silica Stone Surfaces.
  3. We are regularly independently air-tested; delivering results significantly under Worksafe NZ ‘Safe Exposure Guidelines’.
  4. Make sure your Fabricator is Silicosis-Safe.
